During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of the joint agenda. In particular, the representative of the Senate of the US Congress emphasized the need to create a government in Afghanistan on the basis of broad representation, as well as coordination of efforts of Central Asian countries and the world community on the issue of ensuring the rights of women and girls in this country.
The sides also noted the importance of further coordination of actions of Uzbekistan and the United States to provide humanitarian and other assistance to Afghanistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
