During the visit, the Ombudsman held talks with Uzbek citizens staying at the Center. The questions and appeals of the compatriots related to the conditions of detention, documentation and return to their homeland were listened to in detail. Some of the complaints were resolved on the spot.
It is noted that citizens are not detained beyond the time limits established by the legislation of the Russian Federation. In cases of absence of identity documents, documentation issues are resolved in accordance with the established procedure in cooperation between the internal affairs bodies of Russia and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Moscow.
In addition, the Ombudsman provided assistance to individual women in establishing contact with relatives, as well as legal advice on issues of interest.
The working trip is aimed at providing assistance to Uzbek citizens temporarily staying at the Center, as well as strengthening cooperation between the competent structures of the two countries in the field of protection of migrants' rights.
