Magnum plans to open 10 supermarkets in Uzbekistan in 2024

    Kazakh retailer Magnum plans to expand its network in Uzbekistan more than twice.

    Logistics Director Mikhail Filippov announced plans to expand Kazakhstan's Magnum Cash&Carry network in Uzbekistan at the Tradex trade forum held in Almaty on November 1, EastFruit writes with reference to Forbes.kz.

    "We continue our expansion in Uzbekistan. 5 stores have been added to the two stores, and 10 more will open next year," M. Filippov said.

    The retailer opened its first stores in Uzbekistan in 2021. In 2023 Magnum Cash & Carry LLP acquired 100% of Majid Al Futtaim LLC Uzbekistan, the owner of the Carrefour supermarket chain in Uzbekistan. According to the terms of the deal, all Carrefour stores were to open under the Magnum brand.
