October 21 - Uzbek Language Day

    On October 19, the republican Olympiad in Uzbek language and literature named after Erkin Vakhidov - "E voh" took place in Tashkent.

    The event was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Children's Ombudsman, the UzReport news agency, the International Nordic University and the IDC Educational Center.

    The Olympiad has become a cultural and educational initiative aimed at in-depth study of the Uzbek language and literature, identification and encouragement of talented teachers and promotion of the culture of the native language.

    For the first time, timed to coincide with Uzbek Language Day on October 21, the Olympiad included 10,507 teachers across the country. 79 teachers who passed the qualifying stage reached the finals. Their knowledge and professional skills were assessed through testing and writing an essay.

    Educational and literary meetings were held on the Alley of Writers within the framework of "E voh". As part of the Ma'rifat ulashib project, a creative evening and a poetry reading were held with the participation of members of the Writers' Union, Davron Rajab and Dadahon Muhammadiyah.

    Educational events will continue today, on October 20.
