The nomination document was submitted by Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan and included in the list based on the decision of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission 19.COM 7.p.18.
The nomination document was prepared by the secretariat of the National Commission in cooperation with the relevant organizations of the Ministry of Culture.
This element is the 16th element from the Republic of Uzbekistan included in the UNESCO list.
The inclusion of an element in the UNESCO list helps to raise awareness of its importance at the international and national levels, preserve the element together with Member States and pass it on to the next generation.
